To the verso of front endpaper prior owner has adhered a short description of this work. Prior owner's stamp to the recto of front free endpaper, Alfred Wallis. Caspar Barlaeus was a Renaissance humanist, theologian, poet and historian. He wrote numerous volumes of Latin poetry, which was extremely popular. He was also very involved in various aspects of cartography and history. In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart with heavy rubbing to the spine and extremities. To the verso of front endpaper prior owner has adhered a short description of this work. Prior owner's stamp to the recto of front free endpaper, Alfred Wallis. Internally, firmly bound.
