This work looks at the history of significant days of the year, including saints days, days of coronation and royal births, and historic dates, such as the day of the Great Fire of London in 1666. This includes a history on Saint Barnabas, Saint Alban, Saint John the Baptist, and Saint Peter. Also included is the coronation of King George III, the birthday of the Prince of Wales, and a note of the longest day of the year. Little is known about the author, John Brady, but he was a clerk who also wrote 'The Credulity of our Forefathers' and 'Varieties of Literature&apos. With a frontispiece and a the occasional in-text illustrations to Volume I. In the original half calf binding, with cloth to the boards, rebacked with the original spine laid on. Externally, generally smart. Institutional labels to the tail of the spines, with evidence of tape being formerly adhered to the tail of the joints, resulting in a little loss to the leather to the joints. Light rubbing to the raised bands, and to the leather to the joints and to the extremities, with some marking to the spines. Minor marking to the cloth to the boards. A little bumping to the extremities. Evidence of labels being formerly adhered to the front pastedowns, and to the recto to the front endpapers, with institutional labels to the tail of the recto to the front endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Instituional stamps to the title pages, and to the verso to the title pages. Further institutional stamps to the recto of the frontispiece, pages 1, 2, 3, 201, 203, 205, 399, 401, and 404 in Vol I, and pages 1, 2 3, 201, 367, 369, 371 and 406 in Vol II. A little loss to the top edge of page 259/260 in Vol II, not resulting in any loss of text, and a closed tear to page 261/261 in Vol II. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
