Title: REPPERT'S CORRESPONDENCE COURSE OF AUCTIONEERING IN TEN LESSONS
Description: Decatur, Indiana, Reppert's School of Auctioneering Auction School], no date, circa 1940s (?). [. Hardcover . Hardback, thin octavo, appx 6 x 9 1/4 inches, gilt titles on dark blue cloth, 86 + [ii] pages, Very Good or better/no dj (stiff clear acetate dustwrapper provided to preserve condition). Tight binding, very clean externally, handsome covers about flawless. Clean endpapers, but light use of a ballpoint (o/w very clean internally). I count about 5 ballpoint margin brackets and 11 ballpoint circles (around 9 page numbers and a couple of chapter headings). Also one repaired short fore-edge tear not affecting any type. Laid-in appears to be a couple of items distributed by the Reppert School: folded 2-page (single sheet) "Origin of the Public Auction" & 5 pages stapled & folded, printed one side only, that contain 3 articles of interest (The Tobacco Auction, Opening for a Duroc Hog Auction, & Colonel Wood's Oration on the "grand and noble cow"). Livestock, Judging, Pedigree, Real Estate, Jewelry, Antiques, Community Sales, Voice, Advertising, Opening Talks, etc. Not an extensive work, but all 10 lessons are included in this book. Very Good.
