Hardcover with dust jacket. Hardback, small thick octavo, appx 5 7/8 x 8 1/8 inches, xxiv + 600 pages, ex-library, Good- in G+ to VG- dj (dj in new mylar). Solid binding with hinges intact. DJ had been protected by old library mylar and is generally very nice-looking, but suffered a short gash along back cover spine-fold with a small chip missing there. DJ flaps very light tape ghosts. Front and back covers of the book with light tape remnants & ghosts + small (glue?) stain runs along portion of top edge of front cover only. Tape stains to both free endpapers. Front endpapers are map illustrated with card pocket to FFEP, obscuring about half of the peninsula. (This card pocket could be at least partially coaxed off to some extent improve the situation there). Corner crease to lower corner of half-title page. Stamped in lower margin of title page is library name, city, control number. Appx 64 pages of b& w photos (estimate using 8 sections of 8 pages each). Appendices, Index. Good/Dust Jacket Included.
