Covers partially tanned from oxidation or foxing. Light foxing within. Deckled fore-edges, a few light bumps to corners or fore-edges. All printing in brown ink. Tipped-in frontis portrait of Angell who was President of the University 1871-1909. About 5 1/2 pages of remarks, followed by a signed gift inscription and what appears to be an ownership signature, reading, as best as I can make out: "With compliments of one of the Reporters, Clive P. Grierson" and "Phyllis Evers Murray." President Angell speaks to a Dr. Cochrane's charge that the State Universities are "godless institutions." , Good.
