Description: Appleton, copyright 1920, 2nd printing (1924). 1924. Hardcover . Hardback, small 8vo, (appx 5 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches), black on red cloth, 283 pages, Good -/no dj. Mostly quite clean with minor to moderate wear to extremities (corners, edges, ends, joints). So, appearance not all that rude with one lower joint splitting and the spine ends chipped and fraying at the four spine "corners" + spine slightly sunned. The problem is within: six leaves are torn at the top edge - averaging around 2 1/2 to 3 inches per tear, affecting page #'s 13 through 24. There's some concomitant creasing/folding/light mutiliation, but no loss of copy. Charles L. Wren frontis of Geronimo, armed and horseback. Light diagonal crease to this frontis as well as to the FFEP & title page. Binding remains rather solid despite front hinge split. Rear hinge has started, but maintaining stasis. Scarce title. Good.
