(B&W photographs) Program book for the annual festival held at UCLA to highlight their film/TV archive's recent preservation activities, containing program notes for the individual films in the festival, including: A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS (1966); MEET JOHN DOE (1941); SAFETY LAST (1923); MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946); MURDER AT THE VANITIES (1934); and others. There were also special programs devoted to Hearst Metrotone newsreels, George Pal Puppetoons, two Gene Kelly TV programs from 1959, early Danish silent films, a Sherlock Holmes/Basil Rathbone double feature, Jazz Age Vitaphone shorts. A number of European silent films (including THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI and a program of the films of Alfred Machin) were shown to highlight the preservation efforts of The Lumiere Project, and there was also a restoration of the second Vitaphone program, originally presented on October 7, 1926.
