Some offsetting from frontis onto title page. Notary Public stamp on title page and one text page. Edgewear to boards and some rubbing on the marbling. Front endpaper has been torn out leaving a portion of it behind. 142 pages plus one page publishers catalogue. Frontis is illustration called Model of the Target to be used in the Places of Exercise. Contents include: Practice of Cavalry Movements on Foot, Military Equitation, On the Use of the Carbine and Pistol on Horseback, Sword Exercise, Lance Exercise, Instruction of the Troop and Squadron, Instruction of the Regiment, with a Supplementary Chapter on the Management of the Horse.
