1969. Two volumes. Paper in plastic sleeve. Milwaukee: The Milwaukee Art Center. 1969. (First edition). Tan lettered wraps. Two volumes with seperate folding cover and exhibition checklist in thick plastic printed decorated chemise. All elements are fine. One volume "A Plastic Presence. Four Artists in Trans-Vision" which has four mylar / plastic plates is bound with a yellow plastic binding strip. Introduction by Tracy Atkinson. A spectacular copy of this beautifully designed item which was issued on the occasion of the exhibition "A Plastic Presence" which was first held at The Jewish Museum in New York City in 1969. This was a landmark show which focused on a younger generation of American artists, all working with plastic materials. Among the 49 artists included here are Eva Hesse, Louise Nevelson, etc. A gorgeous copy of a wonderful set. Scarce when complete with the cover sheet / checklist and especially with all elements in such beautiful condition.
