Jasen, who has written his initials in pencil at the top corner of the front fly in addition to a small pencil notation. Jasen is considered to be the world's foremost authority on ragtime music and has studied, recorded and performed ragtime music for over five decades. He has authored many books, including several books on the history of popular music in addition to several books on author P.G. Wodehouse, on whom he is also an expert.
