1909. Cloth with dustjacket. Boston & New York: Houghton Mifflin. 1909. First edition thus. Large stout octavo. GIlt spine decorated cloth with pasted illustration on front panel. Cloth has a few traces of spotting and a few tiny worm holes at the extremities. Edges are faintly tanned and lightly soiled. Top fore edge of rear five leaves have what appears to be a bit of faint moisture staining else very good in lightly shelfworn and lightly soiled dustjacket with similiar moisture stain to the left hand edge of the rear panel which has caused some light skinning else very good. A nice copy in the scarce dustjacket of this beautiful edition of daniel Defoe's classic which has been illustrated by E. Boyd Smith. The "Riverside Bookshelf".
