WALCOTT, Earle Ashley. - Blindfolded.

Title: Blindfolded.
Description: Indianapolis, Bobbs-Merrill 1906. Octavo publisher's illustrated cloth blocked in red, black and white; eight plates by Alice Barber Stephens. Spine a touch rubbed but a rather good copy. ¶ First edition. A snappy murder mystery set in San Francisco involving near identical cousins - cleverer than twins huh? - and an insanely ferocious villain. Apparently there is a torturously titled translation in Slovak published in New York in 1923. Curious. Walcott wrote a few thrillers and a paper on water supply.
