Melbourne, printed by Robert Bell 1869. octavo; [2],218pp and pp219-231 being a typescript index. ¶ A labour of love. H.G. Meek has, probably in 1928, neatly annotated the book, prepared the 13 page index and bound the book in the medieval tradition - in quarter morocco over wooden boards using, as a modern touch, plywood. Titled somewhat shakily in gilt and with a mysterious gilt and black enamel paint device on the spine. The famous of many ages and nationalities rub shoulders with dead aunts in these communications to the good people of Melbourne. Appended are some of Watson’s letters to the press and friends on spiritualism.
