Sydney, Consolidated Press 1948. large octavo colour illust wrapp (a bit rumpled); 32pp, photo ills & drawings throughout. ¶ The highlight of this booklet is the cover but the 'highlight of the exhibition is the reconstructed bombing of Hiroshima .. the dropping of the first atomic bomb .. will be re-enacted every few minutes .. for this purpose a 265 sq. ft model of Hiroshima .. has been built .. The uranium metal on show is many times more than existed in the world before 1940 .. [but] close contact with the metal for several hours would be needed to produce any symptoms of radiation sickness.' I wonder if anyone tried it? The exhibition was designed by John Landsell and Samuel Lipson had a hand in it.
