ΒΆ This huge volume presents the official portraits of the presidents as they hang in the White House. from Washington to Theodore Roosevelt. Original leather binding, with large (nearly 9" diameter) gold metal Presidential insignia medallion inset on front cover. However, the table of contents only goes up to McKinley, as does the list of portraits after the list of Presidents. Each excellent photogravure is faced with tissue-guard. Opposite each illustration is a historical review of the life and administration of the President, written by a leading American. The unique feature of this edition is the color impression sketches, illustrating the historic associations in the life and administration of each president, which are on the pages with the essays. This is a limited Executive Edition, with each copy being numbered and registered. This is number 1000.
