Powel's journal from his visit to Rome, briefly describing 37 different palaces, villas, basilicas, and other wonders of Rome (Coliseum, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Library, Baths of Titus, Nymphaneum Aquae Iuliae, etc.) The book was inspired by Jackson's interest in the number of early American tourists who went to Italy, and specifically the number from Philadelphia who traveled to Rome, of which Powel was one. VG- (has light wear to edges and covers; pages are clean and bright; binding is solid) .
