The front decorated with silver and gold gilding on a background of red and black.The boards show some shelf wear and there is minor chaffing/bumping at the boards edges.All edges are gilt.The hinges may be beginning to crack very slightly. The previous careful owners name written in pencil has a date of 1887 (Xmas). The rear cover shows light shelf wear/soil. The binding is well however and will be good for another couple of hundred years or more. Very Good/No Jacket.
