A bound volume of this 19th century journal, featuring poetry and fiction, as well as essays on marriage, domestic issues for women, the water cure, etc. As pagination indicates, this is haphazardly done, with contents lacking for two sections, making it difficult to date those two. The first section indicates it is January to June 1848, comprising volume 3 of this journal. POOR condition. Front cover DETACHED. Heavy scuffing, fading and edgewear, with the spine worn, chipped, creased. Foxing throughout, heavy to the first and last few pages. Minor scattered soiling and staining. 7 plates DETACHED and laid in, with their fore edges worn. Reference copy only of this work. Poor .
