Wilson alludes to the scare tactics of a hypothetical war between races, as well the struggles of African-Americans and poor whites in the South, while also referring to 'the treachery of President Johnson.' Henry Wilson was an ardent abolitionist and 'Radical Republican,' eventually serving as vice-president under Ulysses S. Grant. GOOD condition. Many binding holes along the left edge. Minor browning, soiling and a few small spots of staining. Minor wrinkling. Good .
