Of note is a lengthy section on coffee production, manufacture and trade in Central and South America, reporting on methods of harvest, production and trade, as well as the economic state of the industry. With 2 illustrations depicting stages of coffee harvest. Another lengthy section reports on the housing of the German working people, describing living conditions, density and the condition of tenement housing. This includes general statistics for the various cities, as well as a look at laws regulating tenement housing in Germany, the welfare of the working person, etc. With a fold out map of Strasburg, Germany. GOOD+ condition. Minor soiling, uneven fading and scuffing to the covers. Light wear to the extremities. Spine with some uneven darkening and scuffing/wear to the leather. Interior clean and solid with minor toning. Good/No Jacket.
