Charles Heartman was an American bookseller, operating in Vermont and New York before relocating to New Jersey. He was noted for the auctions held in his Metuchen, New Jersey location, as well as for his knowledge and developments in the field of rare books, including African-American material (University of Southern Mississippi Libraries website). FAIR/GOOD condition. Pages 11-14 DETACHED and laid in. Minor general fading, with some darkening/offsetting along the rear extremities. Minor soiling and creasing to the covers.
