With articles on current events of the time, including a discussion of rising murder rates in England, several brief accounts of various robberies and an account of the murder of an enslaved person in South Carolina by two men, Motley and Blackledge. This account provides brief detail on the torture and subsequent killing of an enslaved person through the use of dogs, as well as the trial of the men afterward. The paper is in POOR/FAIR condition with the various pages either DETACHED from each other, or just about to become detached. Horizontal fold crease present, with general browning to the paper and minor scattered soiling. Several small dampstains present as well as minor to moderate scattered foxing. Chipping, tearing and some creasing present along the extremities. 4 inch tear present along the right edge of the horizontal fold. Lower corners of the paper folded over. Poor .
