Handsomely inscribed by the noted Chicago steel industry leader (chairman of Inland Steel Company) on the front wrapper "To / Arnold Gates / from / Clarence B Randall." (Arnold Gates, 1914-93, was a noted Lincoln and Civil War scholar, but made his living in the steel industry.) Very interesting. .
