Quarter cloth a tad spotted and endpapers (only) a bit age toned; jacket edgeworn (mainly along top), with a few tiny edge chips. First of this modern edition of a Renaissance sonnet collection by Robinson "and divers others" first published in London in 1584. Frontispiece reproduces the original title page, whose subtitle includes: "Containing sundrie new Sonets and delectable Histories, in divers kindes of Meeter.." While introduction bears 1926 publication year, the printed "1926" on title page oddly enough appears to have been artfully erased for some unknown reason. Rarely found with the dust jacket present -- here a survivor. .
