Title: The Dearborns; a Discourse Commemorative of the Eightieth Anniversary of the Occupation of Fort Dearborn, and the First Settlement at Chicago; Read Before the Chicago Historical Society, Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1883
Description: Chicago, Fergus Printing Company, 1884. Hardcover. 8vo. Green bevel-edged blind-ruled cloth with gilt lettering. 56pp. Frontispiece. Very good. Binding a tad rubbed, darkened and edgeworn (mainly at corners and spine head/tail); tight and internally nice, with old but neat green cloth tape to rear inner hinge. Attractive first edition of this volume of the Proceedings of the Chicago Historical Society. On the front flyleaf, the author inscribes and signs large and bold in black ink: "Mr Le Grand Burton / Compliments of / D.
