Title: The History of England, from the Earliest Times to the Death of George the Second... With a Continuation to the Death of George the Third
Description: London, F.C. and J. Rivington, 1823. Hardcover. Complete 4-volume set. 8vo. Half burgundy leather and blind-embossed burgundy cloth. iv, 464pp; 490pp; 461pp; 443pp. Good plus. Hinges tight, but leather spines sunned to a dark gold; minor edgewear; touch of spotting and foxing, mainly to endpapers. Later printing, with Charles Coote's "Continuation to the Death of George the Third," a fairly attractive set despite wear. All pastedowns bear the attractive 19th century armorial bookplate of "Cremorne" -- probably the British nobleman Richard Thomas Dawson (1788-1885), Baron Dartrey and Lord Cremorne. An interesting set. .
