Golden was a prominent American theater producer and impresario, as mentioned earlier. He was born in 1874 in New York City and became known for his business acumen and talent for recognizing promising theatrical productions. Golden produced numerous successful plays and musicals on Broadway, including "Porgy" (1927) and "Shuffle Along" (1921). He also founded the Golden Theatre in New York City, which remains an important venue for Broadway productions. Robert Loraine, on the other hand, was a British actor and aviator. Born in 1876, Loraine initially gained fame as a stage actor, known for his performances in Shakespearean plays and other theatrical productions in London's West End. However, he is perhaps best remembered for his pioneering efforts in aviation. Loraine was one of the first British military aviators, and he made significant contributions to the development of aerial warfare during World War I. While John L. Golden and Robert Loraine operated in different spheres of the entertainment industry, both made significant contributions to their respective fields and left lasting legacies in theater and aviation, respectively. ; Octavo; xviii,324 pages.
