Centerfold reproduction of a painting by William Balfour-ker, "In the Plymouth Woods," shows two pilgrims in the forest with a young Indian child in full head gear and with bow and arrow hiding behind a tree. This issue features a color illustration by C. Allan Gilbert of an elderly gentleman at his table being served by his pretty servant. Article, "Americanus Automobilis" about how the new automobile "simply exhibits a new aspect of the characterisitic American lack of poise, the temperamental defect of control" (p. 423). Elbert Hubbard's two column answer to the question "Are Three American Women Out of Five Disappointed in Their Husbands?"
