JACKSON, ANDREW Three "Valuable Letters of Andrew Jackson" in American Historical Magazine (April, 1899)
First Edition. Near fine in original wrappers with fading at the extremities and a chip from one corner. Two letters are dated 1818 and one is from 1826. In these letters to personal friends Jackson comments on Henry Clay, John Quincy Adams, and some of the secret history of the Indian treaty that obtained land for Tennessee and Kentucky.
