Top of spine well worn, hinge leather cracked but book is still sound. Aside from two or possibly three newspaper appearances, this is the first appearance of Key's lyric based upon his experience during the British attack on Fort McHenry on September 13, 1814. The Star-Spangled Banner became the official national anthem of the United States in 1931. Uncommon.
