Withdrawn from library collection, with fewer than usual markings, otherwise very good. No writing in text. The American-born artist Rattner served in World War I and lived in France during the twenties and thirties, returning to New York during the war. A friend of Henry Miller, he achieved recognition in the post-war period as an Expressionist painter, printmaker, and illustrator. Rattner died while the catalogue was in preparation. Good.
