Crack between title page and following leaf, another between the final two leaves. Early owner signature to head of title page. Light foxing to preliminaries, interior otherwise fresh. A pleasant copy of a scarce edition. $450. * Fourth edition. This comprehensive treatise on landlord and tenant was a standard work for many years. (Its final edition, the eighth, was issued in 1819.) A practical book designed mainly for the use of stewards, it reflects the author's experience with court keeping.
