II and IV internally very good to near fine, save for a few spots to page edges and light rubbing of boards, a few volumes have owners' names and there is some light and generally minimal foxing to endpapers. The wrappers are all very good to near fine also with wear only to edges. The wrapper to volume I is more worn with a few scrapes and some minor crinkling to extreme head and tail of spine panel. Volume II has somewhat soiled page edges and a worn dustwrapper with some significant scrapes and creasing to edges and a tear to front panel. Volume IV is an uncorrected proof copy with untitled paper covers. The title has been wriiten on the spine in felt pen. There is some moderate wear and a crease to corner of the front cover. These are the first eight volumes of the full fourteen volume set.
