Description: blue, Grosvenor House Publishing. 2012. (ISBN: 9781781485255). Paperback, 15.2 x 1.2 x 22.9 cm. Condition good, clean. This is possibly one of the most humorous and user friendly 'learning clairvoyance' book you will find! This book includes an easy to follow exercise in every chapter and explains how to overcome the most common stumbling blocks that most people come across. It is written in such a way that the author is with you throughout the book and will show you how to discover what techniques work best for you. It describes aspects of the author's journey from a new learner and previous sceptic to a practising medium with all of the highs, lows and difficulties experienced along the way. This is a must for anyone who is trying to develop their clairvoyant abilities or for those who are simply curious about the spirit world. It will explain: How to develop your psychic skills The difference between hauntings and spirits Where we go after we die Who and what are spirit guides Different methods for communicating with spirits Meeting and working with your spirit guide Why we misinterpret messages Psychometry How to be a happy medium Tarot cards Coming out of the spiritual closet A simple, straight talking guide that explains clairvoyance in a very down to earth format. About the Author Amy is a senior registered nurse working in Dorset. She has two fantastic sons, two (mostly) fantastic dogs and is constantly juggling work, housework, which she swears breeds overnight and her family (which thankfully, she says does not). Her journey started back in February 2009 when a medium gave her her first ever reading. She was so amazed by what the medium picked up on that she started to research mediumship and how it worked. As a college lecturer and registered nurse, Amy had been trained to rely on information that was valid, reliable, and evidence based and this started her fascination with the subject. She could not understand how information from spirit could be so accurate which purely relied on using all of the senses, and so began her journey. Amy soon noticed she could pick up on information herself and began to actually 'hear' voices just before going to sleep at night when she was most relaxed. This initially also scared the wits out of her, but over time she learnt to work with it. It was after Amy attended a development circle that her mediumship raced along. After a long conversation with her development tutor about what books she would recommend for a learner, neither found anything really suitable. Amy wanted to know why some people found some aspects of mediumship very hard, whilst others didn't; why mediums get messages wrong; what people can do to achieve a better connection and advice to help overcome the typical stumbling blocks. Amy had so many questions when learning and thought that other people must have similar concerns. Thankfully these have been covered in her book. She has had a very full life with some very low points and also some fantastic highs. She says: 'If life was easy, there would be no point to it. Every time you pick yourself up and dust yourself off you get stronger. The main point is to learn from it and become a better person. The more we can learn and experience in this life, the more we will blossom in the next.' Her favourite quote is: 'The emptiest vessels make the most noise'. Good.
