Vintage Catholic pamphlet about the miraculous "Dead Hand," the image of a hand burned onto a piece of wood. The story goes that in Foligno (near Assisi) in 1859, the apparition of a deceased Franciscan Tertiary named Teresa Gesta manifested before a living nun named Sister Anna Felicia, and left behind this handprint as a proof of the existence of suffering souls in Purgatory.
