Red, hard-grained morocco, spine gilt in compartments, with ribbons, covers with gilt lines around borders, gilt sides; top gilt, uncut; coloured endpapers, surrounded by gilt borders inside: ornamental border on red morocco with gilt lines. Original illustrated frontcover in colours, 'Édition sur vélin' and backcover pasted in. With 101 photogravures and etchings: 1 coloured frontispiece, 75 full page plates and 25 illustrations, some printed in sepia, brown, etc. (the tissue guards missing). - A few lightbrown spots in places, also infecting some plates, but on the whole a good, complete copy in an attractive binding. - 'Tirages de luxe: one of the 350 copies 'sur Hollande', not numbered. Gewicht/Weight: 3300 grs.
