Berlin, Otto V. Holten. 1920, Numbered. Hard Cover, 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Ill.: Behmer, Marcus. Copy no' 138 of a 250 copies limited edition that was designed and signed by Marcus Behmer. Entitled "Ecclesiastes Or The Preaching Of Solomon". Title-page, opening initial & colophon vignette were designed by Behmer and cut in wood by Eduard Klippel. 20 pp. Uncut papers. MARCUS BEHMER (1879 - 1958) was born and worked as a designer in Weimar. He illustrated many books and had a small output of fine original etchings, many of which have become scarce. CONDITION: Very good- slight browning by time. Binding: Good- cover is slightly worn, stained/foxed and faded; cloth spine is worn with some tears and chips, a small part of spine is missing.
