The book is outcome of an exhaustive research by anthropologists Vania Solano Laclé, Johnny Cartín Quesada and Alejandro Tosatti who compiled a large amount of publications, photographic material, oral testimonies . They studied the collection of more than 200 masks and complementary objects from multiple regions of Central America.
