THIS COPY WAS FORMERLY IN THE LIBRARY OF SIR JOHN HUBERT WORTHINGTON AND BEARS THE FAMILY BOOKPLATE ON FRONT PASTE-DOWN. Worthington (1886-1963) was Vice-President of the RIBA from 1943-5 and a member of the Royal Fine Arts Commission from 1945-50. His major work includes the war cemetery at El Alamein, the post-war rebuilding of the Inns of Court in London, and the repairs to bomb damage suffered by Manchester Cathedral. Nice copy of Phaidon's revised edition first published in 1952.
