The story of Will Adams, shipwrecked in seventeenth century Japan and befriended by shogun Ieyasu. This book forms the basis of Clavell's novel Shogun. THE UK EDITION IS VERY SCARCE - FAR MORE SO THAN ITS US COUNTERPART PUBLISHED BY DOUBLEDAY.
