This standard work was first published in 1912 (though NMM gives 1914). This edition is 'revised and brought up to date in order to present to the reader the exact state of our Navy when the fighting began'. Nice set of this important survey, augmented by Wyliie's splendid colour plates. NMM V/1 2558 (recording the original edition).
