Hardcover. 480 pages, oversize hardcover in an attractive illustrated binding with photo-illustrated endpapers and a photo-illustrated frontispiece/title page. The book includes a lot of maps (all in color)/illustrations (quite a few in color)/pictures (I don't see any in color), also includes an Index. The dj says "512 pages": I get the feeling that the dust jacket for this is from the U.S. edition. For one thing this book is 480 pages, not 512. Also, there is no isbn in the book but there is an isbn on the back of the dj. So, there you go. "More than 50 maps in full color. Over 800 photographs, illustrations, charts, and spectacular 'dioramas'. More than 50 special features." Excellent copy: tiny (and I do mean tiny) bit of bumping at heel of spine else the book is as new with NO previous owner's signature/bookplate/highlighting/underlining/notes/stamps. The black dj is very slightly rubbed, inside has one very small/faint stain at heel of spine (no show-through to outside but there is a small area of wrinkling of the dj coating), front flap has one corner crease, rear flap has two creases. Otherwise the dj is in excellent condition, also, with NO tears/chips. NOT an ex-library, NOT a remainder. Fine in Near Fine dj. Fine/Near Fine.
