The Brooklyn Daily Eagle which was published from 1845 to 1955 (with a brief later revival) was one of the nation's leading dailies and its distinguished editors included Walt Whitman, Cleveland Rogers, Thomas Kinsella, St. Clair McKelway, Frank Schroth and Charles Montgomery Skinner.Among the many illustrated adverts, this volume has seating charts of Brooklyn and New York Theatres.
