Red blind-stamp decorated cloth gilt, shelf wear only, typed presentation slip on ffep of Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha'at-i-Islam dated Nov 8, 1959 to J.P. Hurley, AmConGen, Lahore signed by Sadrud Din, then President of the Anjuman, text pages slightly browned, otherwise internally fine. Mirzq Ghulam Ahmad (ca.1836-1908), founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement, is additionally listed on the title page as being the author of nearly seventy works on Islam. Maulana Muhammad Ali (1875-1951) was President of the Lahore Anjuman prior to Sadrud-Din (1881-1981) and one of the outstanding writers, editors and scholars of the Ahmadiyya movement having witten some ten thousand words in Urdu and six thousand in English during his long life.
