The text pages are in mostly clean bright condition, but there is light tidemarking to the bottom corners (and up at an angle about three inches from the bottom of the pages. Included in the text are a series of black and white photographs of the Sierras (unattributed, but possibly by the author). "The author of Songs and Scenes has a right to speak for the High Sierras. He has made them his own in the deepest and truest sense. He comes, not as a sightseer, a casual visitor, come to be impreswsed and to write those impressions for other, casual, short-term visitors."
