An account of an epic canoe voyage from Quebec to New York, down the east coast to Florida, along the shore of the Gulf of Mexico, up the Mississippi and other rivers to Louisville, Cincinnati to Pittsburgh, with much on nature and the people along the way. The plates include several of different types of canoes. The maps are detailed of different parts of the journey.
