A. T., Sept. 20, 1907'. ¶ The author had catalogued the collection of prints of Henry Sword and based on that, developed these essays on commerce from early days to the end of the eighteenth century, to show 'the progress of trade and the underlying causes of the changes in commercial supremacy.'
