The cloth is slightly dust-soiled and each volume shows wear at the outside bottom corner, as well as on the fragile backstrip cloth; slight marginal foxing noted on 3 or 4 plates; slight wrinkling in margin of one page of preface in vol. 1; otherwise, in very good condition. -1905. A total of 91 collotype and woodcut plates (collated and complete). Folio. The first two volumes were limited to 2000 numbered and signed copies. The fourth volume bears a limitation statement (1000 copies), but is in fact neither numbered nor signed. .
