The book contains 240 pages of text, half of which is in English, and the facing half in the French translation making this "A Work very useful to Those who desire to improve themselves in the French tongue, and containing a great Variety of Subjects." Palairet (1697-1774) was the French teacher to three of George II's children, and wrote several French educational compendiums.
