This is a small, handsome map of Alaska published in 1900 as part of The Louisiana Purchase and A Review of Annexation by the United States under the Commissioner Binger Hermann. The map is in a light red and blue green. The red outlines three Land Districts: Sitka, Circle, Yukon. It shows ship routes areas and Reported gold discoveries, Coal deposits, Copper deposits, Land offices, Capital / Surveyor General's Office, Routes to interior, and Proposed railroads. The shorelines are shown in a blue green. A portion of Siberia, the Bering Sea, Arctic Ocean, and Canada is included in the image. It is 9" high x 14" wide. There are three fold marks. Fresh, crisp, clean. No tears, no chips, no discoloring, no soil. There is a stub on the reverse where the map was bound into the publication - not visible on the face side. The reverse is blank.
